Complex Disease Diagnosis
When your symptoms do not have an easy answer, you need a provider who takes the time to look. We treat your symptoms as real signals worth investigating.

Finding Answers When Symptoms Do Not Add Up
Some health problems do not point to one clear cause. Fatigue, weight changes, pain or shortness of breath can come from many places. Subtle symptoms are often missed in rushed appointments, so we pace our visits to give your provider time to listen, examine you carefully and think through the full picture.
Testing starts in our own office. We can draw labs, run an EKG or do a breathing test on-site, so the work-up moves faster. When a specialist is needed, we refer you and keep all the findings connected in one chart.
- Unhurried visits and a careful history
- In-house labs, EKGs and breathing tests
- Coordination with trusted specialists
- A clear explanation and plan once we have answers
Who It Helps
A diagnostic work-up helps when symptoms last, keep coming back or do not fit a simple pattern.
- Ongoing fatigue without a clear cause
- Unexplained weight gain or loss
- Shortness of breath or a lasting cough
- Symptoms that may be hormone or thyroid related
- Several health problems that affect each other
- Patients told their labs look normal but still feel unwell
How We Work Toward a Diagnosis
Each step builds on the last until there is a clear answer.
A Careful History
Your provider asks about when your symptoms started, what makes them better or worse, and your medications and family history. This is often where the most useful clues come from.
Thorough Exam
A careful physical exam can point to the right tests and rule out others. Your provider knows what normal looks like for you.
In-House Testing
We draw labs in our office, including full thyroid and hormone panels when needed, and can run EKGs and pulmonary function tests on-site.
Specialist Input
If the answer lies outside primary care, we refer you to a trusted specialist and share your results. Our practice also includes psychiatry when mental health is part of the picture.
A Plan You Understand
Once we have answers, your provider explains what is happening, what we are doing about it and what to watch for between visits.

Frequently Asked Questions
What if my tests keep coming back normal?
Normal results do not mean your symptoms are not real. Your provider looks at the whole picture, including your history and exam, and may order more specific tests, like a full thyroid panel instead of a single value.
What should I bring to my first visit?
Bring any past test results, records from other doctors and a full list of your medications and supplements. A short timeline of your symptoms also helps.
What tests can you do in your office?
We draw labs on-site and can run EKGs and pulmonary function tests in our office. If you need imaging or specialty testing, we refer you.
Will I need to see a specialist?
Sometimes. Many work-ups can start and finish in primary care, but when a specialist is needed, we refer you to a trusted one and stay involved.
Do you take insurance for diagnostic visits?
Yes. Diagnostic visits are billed like other office visits, and we take most major plans. Our front desk can verify your coverage, in English or Spanish.
